In 2024, Leitchville Gunbower, has increased their teams to three football teams as well as eight netball teams competing in the Heathcote District Football Netball League. We also have a robust junior football structure which currently fields two junior football teams in the Goulburn Murray Junior League. Additionally, we also field a LG Bombers netball team in the Echuca District Netball Association.
The Bombers were born in 1995 through the merger of Northern & Echuca Football League rivals Leitchville and Gunbower.
At the end of the 1996 season, the NEFL disbanded, and Leitchville Gunbower joined the North Central Football League, in which it competed for 5 seasons. In 2002 we switched to the Central Murray Football League, before transferring to the Heathcote District Football League.
After reaching the 2015 and 2016 grand finals, only to lose to North Bendigo on both occasions, the Bombers claimed their first HDFL premiership in 2017, defeating North Bendigo in the grand final. Proving that the team was hungry for more success, they repeated the feat in 2018, again defeating North Bendigo.

The Leitchville-Gunbower Football Netball Club was established in 1995, amalgamating two clubs with long and proud histories.
